I think there's also a lot of promise in fitting the removable clip from a Wave into the space that's between the file and the small screwdriver of the Rebar, after replacing the lanyard with an appropriate diameter spacer (or grinding a smidge off the diameter of the Lanyard attachment, and keeping it in/on the Rebar).

Love it!
It should already come with a clip.
Way better than the Niteize clip I use.(Image removed from quote.)

Zoidberg, Were you able to add the wave pocket clip on your Rebar without using a Kick pivot. Were you able to do it using the screw that came with the Kick pocket clip. I would like to the pocket clip mod to my Rebar but i don't want to sacrifice a Kick to do it.Thanks,Mike

The clip is removable: just tighten everything up, then slip the wave clip into place. It would deep carry as deep as a Wave carries with the same clip, who needs deeper than that? The whole tool would be inside the pocket, only the exterior of the clip visible.
I am looking at my Rebar i think i can take out the lanyard loop and grind the outside of it so the Wave pocket will fit over it. If need be i could open up the inside of the pocket clip as well. As a plan B i have an extra Wave and Serge lanyard loops the thin ones that come with the tools. I am going to give it a go tomorrow while watching football.Mike
I emailed Leatherman with my ideas for modding the Rebar to accept the Wave clip in the Lanyard position.Told them it's a very simple mod for them, that would add essentially nothing to their cost on the Rebar, work well, and allow them to sell yet more Wave clips. Will let you know how they respond.Surely they should incorporate something like this into almost every tool they make that's potentially pocket-sized?
Thanks for testing it out though.
As for the Wave clip, sorry mate but I dislike it with gusto
