However I do not own a single machete style tool. :D

Then you must really work on this huge problem :D

I have indeed. :D  It certainly looks interesting but the polypropylene guard puts me off a little.  Lets be honest as well, it's not something I'd likely carry with me on a camping trip, though stranger things have happened.

BTW, you do know you can't have one?  Not unless you fall into one of the exception categories.

When I asked awhile back about AAA lights and bought a few...

http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,49802.msg851020.html#msg851020

The lumintop has been my favorite.  I really prefer the clicky style over the twist style and this one has been my favorite of the new bunch.  The clicky on the tank ones works but doesnt feel 'right', but the lumintop is just great.   :tu:

Yeah, I knew about those regs. I have a feeling, that's why they've tried to market it as a machete/brush clearing tool rather than specifically as a sword to try and circumvent the issue  ;) i.e., it's not a sword, it's a machette, so therefore it doesn't apply (kind of thing)

I'd say calling it a cutlass kinda negates that aim. ;)  "A rose by any other name" and all that. :D

In all honesty I suspect it wouldn't be a problem, unless it came up in front of a Policeman in the wrong circumstances of course.

Fully agree  :D I'd love to have a play with one ... but have no justifiable cause to buy one. I do like the Golok too. I think the cheapest place I saw them was Bronzemoonoutdoors (there's two prices - with and without the sheath - or was last time I looked)

I lost mine  Was staring a very fine looking lady besides me and left the light under the keyboard at work. The next day it wans't there anymore. Bought two since then, one for myself and one for pops, the knurling is no where near as aggressive as my first one. Lumintop should really make some improvements on the clip, sorry to hear about yours.
