Dear Leatherman, please give us Wave 3.0 based on the Signal with 4 long tools (blade holder, PE blade, pry-bar, ???) and the hammer. And make it a deep carry pocket clip.

I've caught up with this thread and I believe I've echoed you in this already....but I totally agree. The Signal and the MUT have great potential if explored by Leatherman. I'd replace the whistle with a bit holder insert. All in all four long tools: two blades (plain and serrated), blade exchanger, and scissors similar to surge NOT THE WINGMAN  inner tools: hammer, awl, opener, and bit driver. BAM!!!! Wave 3.0.

It doesn't seem like it'd be difficult for them to do. And if weight is the issue, only keep two long tools with a couple variations. Blade and scissors, or blade and file, Blade exchanger and scissors. Be creative and offer something different. Blade and scissors, and instead of awl put the package opener from wingman. Maybe with blade exchanger and scissors put the small serrated blade from the Sidekick. It would be nice to see them really dive into the different things a base tool can do.

Either way good thread.  :salute: didn't mean to rant too much.

Hey, at least I know someone is reading this :D

Also, due to the design of the Signal, you get one more inner tool if you double up to 4 long tools.
Personally, I would like to see only one blade (preferable with the option of it being either serrated or PE) but a long prybar on the outside.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

That would be cool to see. I guess anything at this point without giving out half tools would be great

I don't mind the half tools... if they can make money with that it's even good. Kinda dig the SkeleKnife even. Sometimes companies cannot win... they made the Signal and all they got from here is complaints.

Still, I think Leatherman will make a Wave 3 and it will be great... or at least I hope so

Finished the mod.

The opening hook of the flat that I did transform into a chisel interfered with the closing, so I filed it off. I also had to file off a bit at the back end.
The advantage is that the nicks line up now nicely. Ok, I have to admit, I wanted the chisel on the outside, so it would work better as a pry-bar but due to the tool rest for the can-opener it does not work.

I like the idea of a choice in blades. It works for the Skeletool series.

Final drink, Jarritos Tamarinde ;)
Pretty good, although I prefer the Mexican Cola and the Guava.

I have to say, the Signal performed very well, the hammer is real handy. I might even carry it in future. I hope LM expands on this frame.

How about instead of Wave 3 Wave 3.0 or The Wave Threepete?  Thanks for the good read. Just getting back into Multi-tools again been ill the last two years as well as going threw two house remodels. I am ready to do some modding.
I think Alcohol, Tabacco and Firearms should be a convenience store, not a government agency.

You know, 3.0 is like an early release... usually it takes a couple of sub-version until the kinks are out, so how about Wave 3.14159265 aka WAVE PIrate... ahoy mate
