Old Eagle Scout. Used to teach knot tieing and pioneering skills such as lashing and splicing. Also did some mountain climbing in my misspent youth.

Glad to see a fellow Eagle Scout :D

I was at an event a few weekends ago, and I asked my coworker to tie a Bowline In some paracord for some harness holders.

2 minutes later and he is still standing there with an end in each hand.

Sometimes I forget not everyone was taught; what I consider to be, some of the most mportant life skills someone can have.

Not one week later I asked another coworker to tie a Clove Hitch with a Half Hitch Safety.

Once again, basic knots should be taught before kids carry a pocket knife IMO.

Ah, but that would detract from time spent with electronic devices.    :pok:    :D

Good selection of knots add a truckers hitch and I think you will be set.
I think Alcohol, Tabacco and Firearms should be a convenience store, not a government agency.

Unfortunately, very true. Over the course of today ive realized I have fallen into the trap.

Seriosuly considering removing Facebook and Instagram off my homescreen. I hope such a little change might spatk something better.

Sorry for derailing, back on track now.

Not familiar with that. Thanks. Need to go back and relearn how to tie a butterfly knot. A number of other mountaineering knots I wouldn't want to use without a refresher course.
