Leatherman bit adapter.....
on:
October 23, 2014, 07:08:40 PM
....talking about the bit adapter that fits the square shank philips, that comes with 5 double-ended bits, all in a plastic holder.
http://www.amazon.com/Leatherman-Removeable-Driver-Gore-Super/dp/B0051GDDIO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1414083980&sr=8-1&keywords=leatherman+bit+adapter
My question: it seems Leatherman deliberately put 2 slots in the plastic holder, either side of the adapter, yet I have never seen anything in them. What might they have been originally designed to hold?

I believe they also hold full-sized, non flattened 1/4" bits

Thanks for the replies.
I guess the answer was so obvious that I dismissed it completely

I missed this too for the longest time. Only noted it earlier this year in a pic somewhere on the forum. Had a
moment and then promptly added more bits to the card.

What threw me is that the "side" bit slots are of quite a different design to the "upper" bit slots. I always assume that a design of one type will be carried on throughout the tool or line.
Therefore, I'd assumed there might be extra bit adapters that fit in the two empty slots.
