I'm exercising my Super Admin powers here to comment on a locked thread and maybe help out a bit.

One- I think it is an important video to watch. No one is above the law.

Two- this officer exhibited the proper type of response. Calm and professional and should be commended.

Three- officers can't be expected to know every law on the books.  That's why lawyers have many reference books and researchers in their offices. Police officers are there to protect the public, not spend all day memorizing legal documents.

Four- the gentleman that made the video approached the situation properly.  If either of them had decided to do something other than calmly discuss it, it could have escalated badly.

I suggest people watch and be aware, form your own conclusions and discuss them with your friends over a pitcher of some adult beverage. Unfortunately it is not a discussion we should have here.
