We finally landed space probe Philae on a comet. I find this stuff very interesting and was going to watch the landing, but forgot. Hopefully the information we get from the mission will be beneficial or even revolutionary. Either way its cool.  :tu:

I watched it "live" online, but there was no video from the actual lander, just watching the people in the control room. It was still pretty cool to watch.
According Philae's twitter feed it actually landed 3 times on 67P.

That mileage is surely way outside of the manufacturer's warranty.  :P

They seem to be reporting that it did indeed take 3 attempts to land, like most people, it's not always that you park right the first time... >:D
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.
