Weird Al
on: December 04, 2014, 02:46:12 AM
So, I need a topic I can post about, that I like, to hopefully reach 150 posts today.

So here it is... some of my favorite stuff by Weird Al.

Starting with something recent, his appearance on 'Epic Rap Battles of History', as Isaac Newton.

Probably my favorite Weird Al song of all time, and near and dear to my nerdy heart...
(And with an early appearance of Key and Peele)

Most people only know of Weird Al for his parodies, but he writes some great originals as well, and this one is just an absolutely brilliant take on a love ballad... gone bad.

And he does faux interviews. They are hit-and-miss for me, but this one is pretty funny.

Yeah, they vary in quality, but I think the only one I like better is ML King vs. Ghandi.

This one has become a nearly instant favorite for watching on Friday night hang-outs.

From his newest album...

Weird Al doesn't just parody specific songs, he occasionally makes 'style parodies'. This is an imitation of 'Devo'. The song was featured in the soundtrack of the 80's animated 'Transformers the Movie'.

And another style parody, this time of the James Bond style themes. Made for the Leslie Neilson comedy of the same title.

It came to mind since I've been watching Bond movies.

Is it bad that I still do?

Not that I've seen a working cassette player in years mind you....
