Be careful what you wish for: I suspect I have some (very junky) "Flashlights" that might also include some kind of approximation of can openers (if you were truly unlucky some might even have imitation scissors      ).  I'd send them to you just for the giggle factor if international postage from Oz wasn't so excruciatingly expensive.

I got contacted by this Brien too.
I offered to review his stuff on my long dead blog.  But he did not want that. (What! 35 views a week back in 2011 isnt good enough for him? ) He wanted posts on MTO and was very clear on that. I told him that that wasnt gonna happen, and told him to contact Grant.
In the end he even offered me $30 to post a single promo link. I think he was getting a bit desperate. I told him we had nothing more to talk about.

In the interest of playing fair, they did contact me and offer to purchase a banner.  We responded with our banner prices, which I believe are quite fair, and as of yet there has been no response from them.

To be honest, I never expected them to.  I'll be happy to be proven wrong, but as a general rule, companies like that aren't interested in actually paying for legitimate advertising.

If they are willing to pay MT.O members to post links in reviews, then it should be worth it to them to pay MT.O itself.  They'll be looked upon better doing it that way, and could possibly make a few sales in the process.
