Companies always claim their tools are built like a tank, can we run it over with a real tank before we blow it up?

Also I talked to my EOD buddy and he has a whole case of C-4 that has to be "destroyed" before he goes home in January.

In case you are wondering a case weighs in at around 37 pounds.
How much a case C4 cost?  That goes our tax money...

Pfft if you are worried about one paltry case of C-4 then you would hate to see what we wasted today.
I would.

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

I'm not certain its waste, so much as the requirement to get rid of surplus material passing something akin to a 'best by' date. Some resources are perishable.

And besides... this is a REALLY worthwhile cause. :D

This thread just got so much more better!  :tu:
Can't wait to see what Uncle Sams armament can do to such a tool. Although, in order for it to be fair, shouldn't a tool of higher quality be included in the potential suffering? I'm not saying that I'm willing to offer up a MP600 or a Leatherman, but considering how much the Sidekick went through... Just saying.

I could not, in my wildest dreams, imagined something so utterly cool happening, when i said 'test to destruction'. I never thought we'd get to see military hardware and explosives come into it.

It's ... it's so ... beautiful...

Now you all get to walk a mile in my boots so to speak.

Stupid mail system.  :twak:

At the moment we have a date with a MRAP truck, 110 SASS and 37 pounds of C-4. In that order or course.

Not sure we will be able to find much after the big bang.

Will try and come up with some more events before it gets here.
