OK, I admit this is a bit after sunrise, but not by that much.

My graduation gift from my grandparents (who took me) was suppose to be the donkey ride down in, but there was a like 2yr waiting list so that didn’t happen..

Wow, 2 years! :o

One interesting aspect of going down the canyon is that most people, for whatever reason, choose to go during the summer months, which is really really warm due to the microclimate down the canyon.  But fall/winter time is actually much better time to hike down the canyon.

Totally! I was up there a couple diff times of the year, the one time I remember was winter and there was snow!
Another “summer” because it was during my school “summer” vacation, and I’ll never forget because we were on a very long trip and all of a sudden we pull over on the side of the road where there were a bunch of other cars having a snowball fight! All strangers just having fun, throwing snowballs in the middle of July in hot weather!

Have I never played in this thread before?

Isle of Skye

Highlands of Scotland

Lake District, UK

Iceland

Jerusalem

Mixture of film and digital. I don't do sunset/sunrise any more, heck I barely ever do colour photography.
