Finally recieved my PST tool back from LM....
on: July 12, 2008, 02:01:53 PM
My Father recently gave me an old PST he had laying around in his desk drawer. Upon opening it, I found out that the knife had broken off and the wire cutters were nicked. I mailed it in and I recieved it from UPS today with a new knife and a new plier head!!!. I also have a Blast but I like the way the PST feels, its light and not bulky but yet very study for its size.
I will use this at work and also at home. I dont have a sheath so I will buy a new one.....which one do you recommend? Nylon with the Maglite holder, or just the leather one?

I've always been partial to those original leather PST sheaths myself. Not sure if you can get them anymore now though?
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

Welcome to the forum Engin33ring 101 :salute: For the PST I'd go with a leather sheath if you can find one on Ebay or someplace like that :D I have my Grandfathers PST and I just love how they feel like you said so light and not at all bulky ;)

Is it the original rivetted type then Smitty? Very nice.

Engin33ring 101 - I agree that the original leather pouches are very nice and seem to improve with age / use as the leather softens too, so don't be put off by picking up a 2nd hand one from ebay or somewhere. As long as it isn't too badly scuffed up or damaged, I'm sure it would be fine. The original Nylon ones are decent too - but most don't seem to have lasted that well!

I used to come here a lot.
