This is getting exciting...the prototype looks perfect already...I am sure the Ti will be even nicer.

lucky duck

Why do you say that? I've never met Syph. Are you wanting to do his chores and are jealous of my proximity? :)
i am jealous of your proximity I am surprised you two have never met since you live only 20 min away. You guys are practically neighbors.

zoidberg is also jealous, he would live in Syph's shed and build some random SAKs.

I also voted for the screwed construction. It opens up the maintenance possiblities.
T&T are a must on a 91mm knife I think. However, I'd even put the pen in there.
Say my name.

T&T would be nice. I'd take rivets over screws, only because i have no plans to take the thing apart.

but either way, I'd sign up for a Ti version of a Super Tinker.

Scratch that. Sign me up for a Deluxe Tinker with a corkscrew instead of a phillips.

So you want a Deluxe Climber.  :pok:

A climber with pliers.  :)

How is that possible? As an American, I have it on good authority that all Canadians know each other.

I voted for T&T and screw but I see benefits in each of the possible combinations. If you want a slightly cheaper version go for rivets, if you like the to have T&T on your main SAK (or if you don't carry a 58mm [yeah right!]) go for it. So I think it really depends on personal needs, I guess that is where the poll comes in.

... I was worried about that, but my prototype 91mm alox was built that way and it worked no problem.

(Image removed from quote.)

 well, would say there still exist some problem though ...

If i had them i would!  I only have the new style. They need a washer to fit right much like an alox cadet.

Ive got a set of scales in the tumbler right now! :D

Personally I like the screws. My knives tend to get dirty and being able to take it apart to clean it is convenient. T&T are nice to have, but not critical for me.

So guess what happens when you leave a vibratory tumbler running overnight in winter... Not much! The liquid froze and I went out to find a lump of media bouncing around.

Its annoyingly loud which is why I run it in the back shed.  I restarted the process this morning indoors and they look just about done.  Another couple of hours and they should be good.

They turned out not too bad at all.  These are edge rounded and tumbled only.  Next I'll do a polished set, and some in anodized colors.

Ive only got black liners right now, but I think red would look nice.  I wont have those back until January sadly.

I have noticed alot of folks on ebay encrouching in on Syphs 93mm mods.  But the cool thing about Syph is that he can change the game on ya!

Forget about 93mm, 91mm is now where its at!

I just found this thread and I am so confused now. So many good combinations that you could make.

Screwed construction and no T&T for me. Heck who am I kidding just do whatever you want and I will buy them.

Love titanium but some nice ano colors would be great too.

The other side wasnt when I finished it off.. its hard to get the heads perfect and I kept messing around and then wasnt happy, got annoyed and took it apart.  I think I need a little peening jig to have consistent and repeatable head making.

Harley's "messed up" SAK disposal is now open for business. Heck I will even give you a discount on the first 20 or so disposals.
