Yet another excellent Chako collection  :tu:   :salute:

Please tell us about the pair with the swing-out pliers (I might have to look for one for my collection which is mainly plier-based MTs).

Thanks Chako, the Stanley Fatmax 0-71-024 model seems to mainly be available in Europe (and at greatly variable prices).  I've asked one of the cheaper-priced sellers in the UK if they are interested in shipping to Oz, so we'll see how I go ......

Greg, some of the local Walmarts here have them on sale for Christmas, if any have them left.  I don't know when I'm next going to a Walmart, but I can keep my eyes open for you if you'd like.

Wow!

Chako, that is really quite a collection. In so many ways, the utility knife is todays green river knife, or barlow knife. It has become THE knife of the working man, much like the Buckknife in it's black pouch was the vogue on any construction site in the 1970's. And they make so much sense, with having a replaceable blade that you do't have to worry about throwing the knife out if you break a blade, or shapen it down to nothing with a file on the job site.

I had some contractors redo my kitchen, tearing our everything to studs and sub floor. All of the contractors workmen had Huskey, Stanley, or some other brand of utility knife clipped on them. Used the heck out of them too. I have to admit I keep a Stanley in the kitchen drawer for the dirty tough jobs that come up, that I don't want to muck up a nice knife on.

It's the knife for non knife people who need a sharp edge, but don't want to b other to shapren. Or a cutting tool for the knife knut who doesn't want to mess up a knife on that job that you know is going to ruin that nice honed edge.
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

I keep a fixed blade utility knife in my garage jar for easy grabbing for dirty cutting jobs. Also, I keep a folding utility knife in the center console of my car and sometimes throw it in my work bag. I keep a serrated utility blade on that one.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

It is amazing how many I have found. It is a somewhat active collection where if I go into a store, I will take a swing by their utility knife section to see if something new is out. It is not something I actively pursue...but I do find the odd one from time to time.

Thanks Rex, that is very kind of you.  :tu:  :salute:  The UK seller I found doesn't want to ship internationally.   :(

If they are under $25 each please buy two, if they are over $25 then one will do.  Let me know if you do find any so I can send you some PayPal bucks  :D
