Nåja, tenkte berre eg skulle nemne at lagmannsretten i Noreg har funne at assisted opener er å sjå på som ekvivalent med springkniv. Poenget i dommen er at intensjonen med lova var forby mekanismar som kan skyte ut bladet i høg fart, og om mekanismen vart utløyst ved dytte i bladet eller trykke på ein knapp var ikkje sett som relevant for lovas intensjon. Dommen er anka til høgsteretts kjæremålsutval, så det er ikkje gitt at det vert vegen det går, men det er heller ikkje gitt at saka går gjennom nålauget, og eg personleg ville uansett verte overraska dersom høgsterett omgjer den delen av dommen frå lagmannsretten. (Gitt lovene slik dei er, som jo er domstolanes domene, meiner eg reint personleg at det var ei heilt sakleg fortolking, og truleg heilt i tråd med lovgjevars intensjon.)

Tenkte berre det kunne vera greitt veta om for folk.

I was just informing people a recent judgement from the second highest court in Norway deemed assisted opener knives equivalent to automatic knives for the purposes of the law. Since automatic knives are illegal, a lot of people may own AO knives they aren't aware of the legal status of.
