It does! But these past few months are starting to wear me down!
Problem is: there's still around 7 months of urgent work ahead of us .

After we finished building our house I took a couple years off doing work on it ::) Then decided to build an addition on to the back of it out of brick  I worked on it in my spare time and when it was all said and done (5 years later :ahhh ) we moved in it  I took my time and saved a bunch of money but boy did I hear about it for taking so long :D

Well as far as I know (might be a stereotype) most houses in the USA are build in the 50's and 60's and mostly out of wood, right?
You'll have to do your very best to find a house here that isn't build with bricks. These last few years there are some people building houses with steel frames and compressed wood panels nailed against them, but I'm doubtfull they'll last 50 years...

Anyway, busy weekend coming up.
Friday evening I have to pick up a heavier car and a heavier trailer so I can go and pick up 19 concrete bodering stones of 120kg each to finish the front yard (they'll divide the stones and grass from each other and provide an extra parking space.)
Saturday I'll have to finish some smaller projects here and there and in the evening I'm visiting my grandma for her 75th birthday.
Sunday morning I'll be picking up a rotating, lighted Victorinox display case. Hopefully I'll be back home in time so I might get half a day of rest.
Unless my dad wants to start digging the holes for those stones... in that case I won't have any rest at all. For the 5th weekend in a row

Yes most houses here are stick frame houses :salute: but they range from brand new to over 100 years old :D  The original part of my house is stick frame with a brick veneer but the back room addition is solid masonry :tu:

Hard work is good for you (unless it kills you  )  Don't work to hard though and hope it goes well

Wish I had a don't know the word, too. It'd be great to sit and relax at the end of the day...

Oh, and Poncho, you got it wrong, bud.

Yep.

Last night me and my dad drove an hour from here to pick up some large concrete bordering stones. (120kg each) which will be used to finish the front lawn and an extra parking space.

The loading and unloading was done by hand.
The laying in place will be done by a self constructed winch system on a loading system.
Pics to follow when being done, but for now the weather forecasts don't look to good.
