The Cap and I were talking about this one time. I've been a thread killer on so many message boards it's not even funny. It will be a lively topic, I post and then RIP thread. LOL!!!

It's what's turned me into being a lurker. Sometimes the thread will be about a topic that interests me and I enjoy seeing peoples thoughts on the matter and while I want to, I'll not post in it out of fear of it dying prematurely and I'd rather see more peoples input on the matter.

Whoever is the last poster/killer of this thread should get an "MT.Org's Resident Thread Killer" under next to their name.  :tu:

I was just thinking about that conversation we had then this thread comes out of nowhere.  :ahhh
I'm the milk man!

I hereby vow that if I ever win the lottery not only is everyone getting a Skeletool and Kwik Stud;

But I will also buy everyone a plane ticket to a central location, where we can duke it out.

I've thought this about myself as well several times when I noticed my name as the last poster on a few threads.  I guess many of us have a little thread killer in our system ;)

If this happens, I got dibs on Harley and Derek.  But not as a handicap match, as that wouldn't be very fair.....for THEM

I just have to ask... really? Killing a thread bugs people?

I'm serious here.

I guess, particularly on these boards, threads are like conversations, and sometimes folks just don't have anything to add. I assume I've killed threads, but never even thought about it.

Until now. Thanks, neurotic smurfs! :D

I... wanna.... be your thread killer (might try thr'iller' to keep pace with music, although this is irrelevant in punk)

Yeah that usually happens. You bump an old thread, 2 or 3 comments, and it's done

Most of the time I think its probably just a perception of thread killing when the thread has just concluded, the original problem resolved etc.   That's been my feeling on the few Ive seen, where people actually commented in the thread about them being a thread killer.

It would imply that the person posting is not liked so people stop posting in the thread after they do, and I dont think thats that case at all.

Other cases Ive seen are topics started where there just isnt much to talk about so the thread dies.  Again thats just a case of the idea being concluded in that case as it starts.  Maybe in those cases the threads are committing suicide to keep with the killing analogy.

I might add the Mike and Ben hijacks were very entertaining. A couple of witty lads and quite gabby!   :D

Oh, I was putting it to Anarchy in the UK.
That goes like this:

"I am a thread killer
I am a death spiller
Don't know what to post
But I know how to post it
I wanna destroy the thread 'cause
(Choral) I wanna be thread killer
Destroy
Destroy
Destroy

Please don't answer to my post"

answer what?
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob
