No signed tools here, but that sounds like an amazing day!Catch a glimpse of anything special in the factory?
A tour of the Leatherman factory hosted by Tim is like bucket-list material! Congratz!!
Pic from five years ago. Still carry and use it every day. It isn't quite factory any more though.(Image removed from quote.)
Quick recap of the day.Friday begins with some very heavy rain through the early hours and into the morning. Then it starts to snow, yeah, three weeks off summer, timing.Having dealt with rain, snow, flooding, animals, kids, visitors, work and yet another broken windscreen...5pm couldn't come around quick enough but eventually it did and I was heading into the city.Found the venue easily enough.Got changed and put my nice clean MTo anniversary t-shirt on.Randomly picked some modified Leatherman MTs to take in with the two I had chosen earlier to get signed. Now to mingle.Walked in and there was Tim chatting with a small group. To one side Chau was playing table tennis with Nathan Rarere. All of a minute passed by before one of the Leatherman Super Fan winners, Chrystian, recognized my MTo t-shirt.If you check out his instagram here you can watch (I took the video) him receive his prize bag.The evening flew by and there I was in the MT signing queue.I introduced myself as a MTo peep and he asked if I knew Grant?Nar, never heard of him I replied I mumbled something about maybe knowing him.Tim signed the Flair for my better half while I talked nonstop about it getting run over and how much she liked and used it.As he signed the Signal I asked if he was interested in seeing a few of the customized MTs I had with me.(Image removed from quote.)Having got the nod, I quickly displayed some of the MTs and Tim made some comments and took some pics.About then I remembered there were still heaps of people waiting. To show my appreciation for years of enjoying Leathermans I handed one back to him together with a MTo poker chip.(Image removed from quote.)Yeah think that pretty much covers it.Chrystian had missed the last bus so I dropped him off where he was staying. Then I drove back out to the country listening to music really loudly.
I feel lucky to still have the tool because when I arrived in Australia I found I had forgotten I had put it in my carry-on briefcase, rather than transferring it to my checked luggage.
Right in the middle is my signed OG Wave (Image removed from quote.)
