74mm Nail file
on: January 09, 2015, 12:52:30 AM
Can it be used on phillips screws?
Or I have to mod it to match say, Micra's phillips driver?

It can .... but I wouldn't use any more than modest torque on it. I'd feel comfortable putting more torque into the Micra due to it's stubby construction. Nowhere near as capable as the mini one on the Rambler/Manager IMHO

There are several variations of the 74mm nail file. Also it comes in single and double thickness. Some have a very rounded back to the nail cleaner tip.

There is a thread with pics of several variations somewhere. Will link it when I'm on a PC Ratner than phone.

Ahhhhh .... you were on about me championing Geber and slating Leatherman. Sorry, we were at cross purposes. I thought for a while there was some Freudian projection from you in your predominantly male environment. My apologies  :salute:

No risk of me being covert with the Gerber/LM stuff mate

To get back on track -  What's this about single or double thickness for the Vic 74 mm nail file?

Depending on the model of knife, the nail file can be opposite a single layer like on the Executive (opposite Orange Peeler) or opposite two layers as on the Prince (opposite large and small blades).

different tips and one prince file with grooved backside and one without.

haha,  I said backside.
