What do you guys think of Gorilla Tape? I bought some for $7.99 yesterday.. IMO, it does not have a lot of "stick"!

I actually love this stuff, but for certain applications. Such as, the pleather in my dads car was all ripped apart, and the foam was starting to decay, so around 2-3 months ago I re-did the entire drivers seat in Gorilla tape. It has stayed in place and lasted much longer than regular duct tape.

We also used it in high school to hold together the legs of our stage platforms together. The locks had long since broken off the stage risers, so we used the stuff to keep the platforms from creeping.

I also have some of it stuck in the rafters of my garage. It just wouldn't come down easily so I left it there. More than enough "stick"

My heart still lies with gaff tape, however.

I have a roll of it but I wasn't that impressed. I like book binding tape the best.

I really like it, I find it sticks better and longer than your standard grey duct tape.

The duct tape we use here at work is crap so I decided to find a better one. I picked up about a half dozen different ones, Gorilla Tape being the first one. I figured it cost so much it has to be good and it is, too good. :o

The back of the tape is covered with adhesive, thick adhesive. It has so much adhesive that the company says when it gets hot the adhesive will melt (for lack of a better word) somewhat and leave adhesive behind. For our purposes here at work it was too thick, but I imagine great tape for heavy duty jobs.

The best duct tape I found for normal use was a mid-grade tape I found at Sams Club made by Intertape. It isn't too thick or too thin, has full adhesive on the back and only cost around $11.50 for 3 rolls. 8)

I may do a duct tape review, if anyone is interested, based on my search for the "perfect" duct tape. ::)

I must have checked out about 10 different tapes and found quite a difference in the fabric and adhesive. I even made :"The Duct Tape Lineup" which consisted of putting pieces of each tape on a clear piece of plastic to compare side by side the adhesive and fabric. Exhausting work! :D

They do make it in 1" rolls but still too large for most survival kits.

This is a better option.

I have some and can send it with your countycomm order.

Here is a better link.

i picket up some duct tape from REI that just didn't have a roll attacked to it, so it has about a 1 in diameter and was perfect for a survival kit or backpackiong or something.
