Best place for batteries?
on: January 06, 2007, 09:09:55 PM
I have checked with Lighthound.com and batterystation.com and their prices beat the snot out of my local Radio Shack, even with shipping.  Are there any better places I should be checking?

I am looking specifically for CR-123a batteries for lights, and CR-V3 batteries for my camera.

Join www.candlepowerforums.com if you haven't already, then use the CPF buyer's page at batterystation.com, here:

http://www.batterystation.com/cpf2.htm

You will need to submit your CPF user ID for these prices ($1 apiece for CR123 Battery Station brand).

I've gotten many radio and pager batteries from www.Batteryzone.com and never had a problem. IIRC they had Duracell CR123's and some others, too.

I bought 12 Streamlight CR123A batteries, made in USA, for $16 from DLS Enterprises, Inc:

For UK members, I use 7 Days Shop it is in Guernsey so you do not have to pay VAT on items. Even with £3.95 delivery (usually arrive next day) and they are reliable.

Apparently asking what is the best place for batteries is akin to asking what the best pizza toppings are!

There are many to choose from, and they're great choices compared to the local Radio Shack, that's for sure.  I don't think I've seen CR123's for less than $4 apiece in any store.

Another reliable source is http://store.advancedmart.com/ticrliba.html  It looks like shipping outside of CONUS may be an issue though...
