Wow. Killer deal. I will have to stop by tomorrow and have a look. I don't need one, but for the price I might have to pick up a few just because.

I agree, I'm far from needing it but at that price it's crazy not to have a spare floating around.

Wow!  Rough crowd!,  I wasn't the first one to notice the price markdown.  It was mentioned in the sidewing string.  Blame dremel414!

Backstory:
I got a wingman about 8 months ago from Menards just under 25 bucks. Earlier this week I tried the single-wing wingman mod and unfortunately I did not like it at all...AND to top it off I couldn't put the wingman back together again.   so after trying for stores I figured I would have to pay 30 bucks for replacement or try the sidekick for 50. One last trip to Home Depot however and they had one sidekick and the price tag was $9!!!! I don't know if it was clearance or what but for 9 dollars I got it no questions asked. After adding scissors and replacing file/ruler (which I NEVER USED) with package opener, I now have this. Not much to some, but I love it!!!!

I wonder if leatherman knows about this

Exactly, I told my wife we would be losing money if I didn't buy it. Note: it does not come with sheath or carabiner clip. I wonder if that's what drives the price up?

When I was at one of our local Home Depots this weekend, they no longer had any Leathermans, only Gerbers.  They had a couple of folding knives, and an MP600.

Sure, one can always fall back to the tried and true processes, but since Kirky is a new mod, I felt it might be in my best interest to throw someone else under the bus.  ;) :D

I found my three hidden in with the Wingman in the regular section.  Most hourly employees don't have the time or inclination to sort out similar looking tools unless specifically told to do so.  My three Sidekicks were buried behind three Wingmans on the peg.    For those of you with HD's that still carry Leatherman products check the shelf (peg) and the floor beneath it.   :salute:

The last time I was there, I saw Wingmans and Waves.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I've checked two Home Depots to no luck. All they had were Wingmans and Waves.
