I'm not promising anything, but if:

- I Have enough money
- I Have enough time
- You guys want me there ;)

I might be inclined to swim my way across the pond and join you people ;)

That would be excellent mate!  I'm sure we could work out spare camping kit if needed and some kind of pick up from whichever beach you wash up on. :D
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

I should have a spare tent that will be available.

The more the merrier bmot, of course we want you!

Assuming I can come, I'll be driving by Peterborough and Huntingdon and could go via Stevenage which are on the ECML.

I'll probably get the train down to Milton Keynes and ride across, but it really depends on how much stuff we're expected to bring with us. What's 'normal'? Just camping gear or do we bring our collections or other entertainment to show/share?

People do tend to bring all their gear with them, but that's only 'cos we like to show off. ;) Just yourself and some camping gear is actually all you need.  As I said to bmot, I've got enough camping gear for anyone to borrow whatever you need anyway (though I might have to be a touch frugal if I'm car sharing with 50ft)

Gareth was faster than me  ::)

I will bring the fire and a few pots/pans so you won't need to carry them, I guess you just need a tent an sleeping bag and a few toys to play with

I'm sure if someone wanted anything we could come up with a 'spare' ?
if travel is hard carrying 'tent' or 'sleeping bag' I'm positive someone could bring one if we knew in advance.
hell some people have turned up with out footwear or coat before now !!! (no names , what happens at the meet stays at the meet)

I'm willing to pick up from stations, airports or deserted beaches within reason if I can (PM me details and we can try to arrange something)

also, just a suggestion, could we all donate towards a 'cheep' second hand large tent , suitable for a club house. pretty sure 'we' could get one at a bootfair (and by 'we' I mean our resident bootfair rust hunter ;) )
if a few of us regulars bung in a fiver it would mount up. then it would save having to borrow from Mark like we did last year (thanks again Mark  :salute:) just a matter of Tony storing it then ;)

Having the big tent was definitely a boon, especially given the heavy rain on the Friday night.  I'd happy chip in for getting something specifically for the meets. :)

I'm not so far from MK so I can pick you up from the station  :salute:

Thanks Smashie, that's very kind of you. If I'm not bringing the bike I'll be in the car anyway so unlikely to need it, but I'll let you know if I need a lift. :tu:

I'm wondering about putting together a minimalist modding toolkit for a bit of outdoor SAK surgery.

Happy to chip in for a tent if something suitable turns up.

If I have a bit of notice I can probably borrow a big gazebo-thing. Like half way between a tent and a miniature marquee.

My parents have a smaller one and I know someone with a couple of bigger ones.
They're not even that expensive to buy new:

Hello peeps   :D Not been around here much lately as I've been busy with other stuff, and Sparky Bloke sent me a PM to  :pok: me for dates and stuff.

Put me down for whenever it's not pissing down  :P It's too far out for any specific yes/no on any dates, but I'll do my best to work around whatever the consensus date is  I've got to help Gareth get there and back in one piece.  :D Totally agree on Michael's comment, that between us we'll have a spare everything, or several spares  ;) so just post if you need something.

Cheers
