First knife that comes to mind is a Kershaw Cryo. I like the blackwash version. Its a bit heavier than you would like. Not sure about the handle thickness. It carries tip up, tip down, and has a deep carry clip. Assisted opening. Inexpensive yet one of the best knives in the price range and truly is a incredible knife for the money. $30.00!!! All of mine have been perfect in fit and finish and built like a tank. I personally love the Cryo and have been thinking about getting the Cryo II as it is larger.

One I HIGHLY recommend.

http://www.cutleryshoppe.com/delica4lwttrainer-non-sharpeneddrone-1-1-1-1.aspx

Many colors to choose from too. You can get it in Saber or Full Flat Ground. I would suggest Full Flat Ground.

Not assisted.

It is cheap, play with it a few days then it goes in storage.

The Leek almost fits all your specifications. Blade length is 3". Only weighs 3oz. Its thin. Tip down. Assisted. The one and only thing that does not fit your description is it does not offer deep carry. It is the only knife I have suggested that I do not personally own, but many, many people love the Leek and it is a very proven knife. Comes in all sorts of flavors.

Lets make things interesting. Have you thought about a Benchmade Mini Griptilian? Super light. 2.91" blade. Killer blade steel. Spydie hole or thumb stud. Different colors and blade types.

It is tip up only. Non assisted and probably not as thin as you want. The AXIS lock is awesome though. Not deep carry, but you can get a true Benchmade deep carry clip for it for free.

I am thinking this is to far from your specifications, but I figured I would at least mention it.

Already have two.
I am a huge BM fan but found tip down carry suits me better, and all axis are tip up only.

Figure I would mention the ZT0566BW.

Its basically a Cryo, but much more expensive. Longer blade and heavier. G-10 on one side. Super steel.

I have this exact same knife. Absolutely love it. I switched it to tip down.

Assisted opening is a little slower compared to a Grip.

But a Grip is not NEARLY close to as overbuilt as the 566. I would feel safe chopping wood with my 566. (Even though I never will)

Have a look at the Kershaw Knockout, I think it hits all the marks you mention

I have the 0566, the 0560, and a Mini Grip, and I think the 0566 comes closest to meeting Kampfer's list of requirements.... definitely a great knife that will not disappoint. :tu:

Hello Kampfer,

Checkout this tactical folding knife which I recently got. It is really the best folder which gets fit in my pocket as well for my EDC.
If I need to pick some good EDC tools.
Then I would take my love leatherman multi tool wave and a flash light. Other are just a waste !!!
