WIN!! Found an old Gerber folder
on: July 22, 2008, 12:22:37 AM
Going through someones abandoned storage is always fun.

Today I found a cool book on knots, a SIGG bottle (can I boild water in this?), and a big Gerber lockback with leather sheath!

The knife looks unused and never carried.  The blade is in top shape, and there's no wear on the back on the sheath where there should be some if it was carried.  But after years in storage (in the sheath) a green corrosion formed on the brass, and stained the inside of the sheath >:(  I cleaned up the knife pretty well but don't know what to to with the inside of the sheath.  I'll research it tonight and post a pic, but it's basically Gerbers take on the tried and true Buck 110 pattern, but with a flat handle portion and overall a little bigger with a broader blade.

Nice find mate :)

SIGG bottles are usually aluminium, and have a funky coating inside them, so best not to boil water in it mate :)
Give in, buy several Farmer's!!!!!!
