My new big toy.

Below are a few pictures of my new knife. It is a Carbon V Cold Steel Trailmaster and I have had my eye on this ever since I got to handle it round Mike's (mickyd's) house. She really is a beauty!

Here is a picture of it next to my Bushman to give an idea of how large it really is;

Yep almost 8mm across the spine and pretty much indestructable with it

I had that since I was 17, so it's carried the years well

I guess you didn't get your Bushman sorted in the end then.

Yeah it is pretty thick.

Looks in really good condition as well. It was obviously well looked after by the previous owner.

As soon as they started using the San Mai as the principal steel type, but I think I'm right in saying that all Carbon V knives came with a brass guard

The brass looks far better IMO.
