Hey if your ever down that way again, I remembered another place to go, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, that was a good trip! Nice long walk underground, kinda chilly..
JR

Toured Carlsbad 50 years ago. Stopped there on the way back from Mexico with the Explorer Scouts. Also Guadalupe Mountains NP.

Want to get to Monument Valley in Arizona, and Capitol Reef in Utah. Both are supposed to be spectacular, but both are out in the middle of nowhere.

I've hit most of the national parks and monuments in the Rockies and Colorado Plateau. Would like to get out to the ones on the west coast, Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Rainier, etc.
there's a lot up there, we did a week long trip from Arizona to North Dakota, over to I don't remember how far then back down to Arizona, I can't remember what we stopped at, Yellowstone, mt Rushmore, walls drugstore, devils tower, and a bunch of other stuff! One good reason to take pics, my grandfather took loads but my grandmother has them all..
JR

Oh yeah, we passed by mile high stadium, and on the way home ended up having a snowball fight out of the middle of no where in the middle of summer with a bunch of people, cause no one could believe it was snow..

Here, me atop of the rv, we heard something so sure enough I went up and found him.. then the other was of our trip down to Texas, I didn't like getting my pic taken, but I'll never forget that trip, on the highway and seeing those tarantulas in slo-mo crossing, that and those shoes, I had black ones and my mother said I needed white ones since it was so hot and black wouldn't work so I found those, the original reebok pumps at $107!

Nice shot. Surprised the bird let you get that close; maybe he was looking for a handout.   :D

Dang that guy blends in,
But yeah he let me get close, then went a few times around that a/c unit, then ran down the back and jumped off and costed to the ground. I was kinda shocked cause it's a roadrunner, I thought it would run so fast to the back then run down, not cost with wings, but then he didn't do *beep beep* either :(

Don't like. My back hurts just looking at that hard ground. My idea of roughing it nowadays is a three-star motel.   :D

I agree to a certain extent.  I "camp" in my VW campervan these days, sleeping on my custom innerspring mattress (with 12v electric blanket for colder nights).   :pok:   :D

My back is still a bit sore after camping this weekend - and my arm looks like a restaurant for midges!

Both my sister's,  and my niece came to help me rip up my horrible front garden and make it look nice.  I had no idea plants and wood bark are so expensive.  They sure knew how to spend my multitool money.

No before pictures but it's looking much better now.

My back garden is a work in progress and has a long way to go.  I did find a bees nest under some old pallets I had stacked in the back garden. Bit of a shock as I broke it open moving the pallets ready to burn them.

The wife and I wanted to go for a walk because it's so beautiful out, we fig we could go to the library in order to get the kids card, so we said for him to come along. Then we asked our neighbor if he wanted to come with his kids, which they did, so, me the wife, and the little guy, plus our neighbor with three little daughters and a toddler, talk about a large group!
But it was great, the flags and everything was up for Memorial Day so I took a lot of pics, only thing is there on the wife's phone so I got to get them transferred before I can put them up on here, the library wasn't open but we had fun, let the kids play on the equipment, even I went up a very unique setup!

Beautiful, looks like Rocko sees something or is admiring sun and getting a breath of fresh air.

Took the boy to a safari park to take his mind off losing another grandparent.
