Finally some nice enough weather to get some more done on my planters.

Got the last area dug out and the membrane down, and also got a delivery of 2 ton of top soil and 1/2 ton of compost.  The website I used to calculate my quantities can't be right and I need another ton of top soil and 1/2 ton of compost to finish it off. Delivery booked for Monday for the remainder so I can get them all filled, then next Wednesday the bark chippings start arriving to fill in the walkway area around them.

Roped in both my sisters, my niece and her boyfriend to do most of the shoveling. The delivery came in small bags as it was cheaper then 1 ton bulk bags with the deal a local company has on at the mo. Made it much easier to move.

Then I can plan sorting my fence out. At least 8 new panels needed and a good lick of wood treatment red cedar paint.

Thanks  :tu:

After a nice relaxing weekend at the UK meet, I arranged for the rest of my topsoil and compost to come this morning.  Just enough to finish filling the last 2, and also a potato bin.

Bark chippings and membrane trimming next. I pick the first 20 bags of bark up on Wednesday after work. Once they are down I'll get an idea of coverage and see how much more I need.

I can start planting when ever I want now.

Thank you  :tu:

I picked up the 16 x 100L bags of bark today so got all that put down. It's a bit coarser than I thought it would be, but it'll do to walk on and keep weeds down.  I'll trim the membrane tomorrow, my back is done for today
