Think that is Jagged Peak (Arrowsmith Range) on the far left. Aoraki would be left of there so not in this pic.

Spent the week camping at the beach with the kids. 8)

Then Red Peak, North Peak, The Spires... I reckon the bunch on the right would be Mt Whitcombe on the main divide.
I don't know the area that well, I'm just checking it out on Google Earth.  :D

They were the two good days :D  Summer in Wales is a bit hit-and-miss but being in a tent is always fun regardless.

Decided to ditch the survival blanket so I could fit the camera in the bag.

Objectives, make it back to the truck (at Sharplin Falls) in one piece, halve the posted track time.

Sadly the falls track has been closed. Falling rocks damaged the walk way around the cliff. Summer mission maybe.

Good work. :tu:  The last time I was in that area we left from the Stavely end and encountered a runner at Duke Knob who was doing the same route you did. He collapsed in front of us whilst we were talking but we stuck with him and he came right... I worry about what could happen to a lightly equipped person in a more remote part of the track.

Did a local trail race on the weekend.  50 miles, 3500m elevation gain/loss.
I need to get an easier mid-life crisis...

I watched the company we were having in the front yard, I was sitting in the bedroom and I heard some funky noise, so I stuck my head out the window and saw the yard moving! If my eyesight wasn’t as good as it is I would have sworn the yard was alive like some horror film. Then a few birds flew off the roof into the yard and it hit me, the noise was the little turds walking on the gutters. So I went into the living room to get a better pic and then that car drove by and I got a pic of some of them leaving the yard, but that wasn’t even half of them taking off..
