Out on my bike this morning.  Nothing epic, and a bit of a grey and overcast day but it was quite interesting nonetheless.  Rode out to the River Severn and followed the flood wall upstream for a few miles past a couple of inactive nuclear power stations.

Oldbury power station


Downstream towards the Severn bridges


Cheeky bit of footpath.  Quite good fun to ride on.

Did about 30 miles in just over 2 hours.

Yesterday I trimmed the hedges, mowed the fallen pieces over along with a lot of plants, raked it all up, then helped the Mrs clean the weeds in the driveway, swept everything up and dumped it all in back, yet all in hot weather. Had to sit down and idk if I passed out?

Hydrate.  Keep cool and take breaks.  It'll all be there tomorrow so pace yourself.  I cleaned up my yard the other day too.  I went at a good pace and took lots of breaks.

The dumb thing, the whole week it was beautiful and cool, and sure enough we got to do it on a hot day.. didn’t mow the lawn or weedwack, still have another whole line of bush that need to be trimmed! But yesterday and today we didn’t do anything, I take that back we sprayed some of the outside of the house with peppermint water a few hrs ago..

Thanks Aloha.  The river's about 2 miles wide where I was, and it was quite different out by the river to the rolling, busy farming countryside where I live - very quiet and open, with lots of sky.

Yep they managed to finally get their arses in gear and go.

Nope no fire pit or axes. No bbq either unless you had a bucket of water on standby and you had to quench it as soon as you were done.
It was a very nice site, but the wardens were way to strict for my liking.
