Aluminum tip tweezers?
on:
March 01, 2015, 02:19:31 AM
I have a Vic champion that I bought new back I think in late 70's to early 80's and it has an aluminium head on the tweezers, the toothpick is the yellowish white plastic. This was the first SAK I ever bought and it's still in great shape except for the small driver on the can opener, it has a little twist to it. When did vic use these type of tweezers and would this be correct? And has the toothpick always been the same? Thanks for the info.

Aluminum tipped tweezers were used from the early 60s (1962/63) until the late 70s (1978ish). Before that they used nickel-silver tipped tweezers. After, plastic tipped.

Color. Aluminum tipped are silver-white, nickel silver are a goldish color. These are aluminum. This knife looks to be from the late 1970s.
