Skeletool Blade Liner Lock
on: July 24, 2008, 09:31:38 PM
Folks,

I noticed on a friends recent purchase of a Skeletool CX that the liner part of the lock engages a tab at
the base of the blade that keeps the liner from going past the blade base.

On my SS Skeletool there is no stop tab, and the liner stops at the circular pivot. Is this okay, or will I run into
problems with the liner getting jammed past the blade base?

Thanks,

Bash

MY CX has no tab, never seen one before in fact. Never had any problem with it.

This is new info for us Bash. I've got two Skeletools, and both liner locks stop on the circular pivot. Any way you can post a picture of your friend's tool so we can see what you mean?

They stop on the circular pivot on my wave too. Seems pretty durable. I personally like a lock back compared to a liner lock, but hey you cant complain with a liner lock on the OHO tools.

The guy who bought the CX sits across from me at work. The only problem is if he sees me
taking pictures of his Skeletool, and I explain what I am doing, will definatly be convinced
that I am a certifiable MT nutcase  :climber:

I'll give it a shot but I don't have an account set up to post picture. Can I perhaps email them
to one of you for posting?

Thanks,

Bash

When you post here click on "additional options", if your picture is small enough you can attach it.

If not sent it to the email address in my profile and I'll do it.

Yah, either of the options jzmtl suggested will work. :)
