I think wallet would be one of the first things (gun, Knife, MT, phone, wallet etc) be take away before or immediately after that person is handcuffed or tied up.

I don't like that you have to break it to use it. I'd refer something more like a Swiss Card with holders for each implement.

I'm sure they did it that way because its extremely inexpensive to make like that. With the $2.95 shipping cost they probably cover their own shipping cost and still make $1.50 on it.

Okay... so...

I just can't work up any enthusiasm on this. It doesn't exactly fall all the way to 'stupid', but comes so near that it can see it from there.

What are the ACTUAL odds of being a hostage? Ever? Okay, now if that happened, what are the odds of slipping your ninja card past your abductors... because, I'm sorry, it might be a function of playing D&D for too many years, but I'd strip anyone I wished to tie up down to their underwear. Second, if I was going to use duct tape for restraint, I'd tape their hands up into balls. I certainly wouldn't wrap feeble chain around their ANKLE and leave their hands untied.

So... no, gonna change my verdict. This is stupid. This is Mall Ninja Stupid.

Of course, if I get abducted by evil folks not quite evil enough to actually just kill me, then you can ALL say 'Told ya so!'.

of course, YMMV.

even without stripping i somehow don't see the whole card getting pass a very detailed pat down. implements on the other hand maybe if they were somehow hidden like taping the handcuff key to the inside of one's belt

I'm with Lynn on this one.

Stun them, secure them, cut the clothes off. Although I'm using cuffs, with one hand in back, one hand in front, and the chain between your thighs. Duct tape takes too long. Bound like that, I don't care how much of a contortionist you are, you aren't getting out. And it's hard to walk.

It doesn't seem to be appropriate to carry these escape card to the outdoors survival trips like camping, hunting,

Am I correct in the assumption that "Special Forces Operator" is not a protected term. While it is illegal to impersonate am member of the armed forces, but as long as you don't specify anyone can call himself that. I mean your "Force" could be a team of cleaners and if you are the one who is called upon to unclog the toilet you would be a special operator, right?

While the product is stupid, it's not as stupid as the people who will buy two of them. One to take apart and "train" with, and one to leave intact at the back of drawer in case of actual abduction  ::)
