Here another favorite of mine, the Lamy 2000 pencil. Obviously in 0.7mm.
My first Lamy’s was the Safari pen and pencil set! It was downhill after that untill I found out about Caran d’Ache, which is about the only thing I collect now.  :cheers:

Being German, I know the Safari line well. It probably was the most common fountain pen when I went to high school in the late '80 - early '90. I still have multiple Safari fountain pens, but only one Safari pencil.

Caran d'Ache is a great brand, I love their distinctive hexagonal silver pens.

I have been using the Pentel P205 0.5mm ever since I discovered mechanical pencils.  I have them on each stationary tool, workbench, desk, and truck.  Some of the leads were too soft and too weak.  I settled on Pentel Super Hi-Polymer HB.  Yes, cross grain in porous wood can be a challenge.

The tip of the Delguard seems a little "stubby" to me.  The video makes no mention of special lead, so I guess any standard lead will work.

Oh yeah...a Caran d’Ache Type 55 2mm clutch  pencil...I have the .07mm mechanical pencil and the roller ball pen. The owner is just wanting way to much money for it.  :facepalm:

Some mechanical and clutch pencils are just so nice...you have to get a second!

I have always been a Pentel fanboy, but my current goto mechanical pencil is a Staedtler 925 07, using 0.7mm HB lead. I found it comfortable and write well. I also have the more fancy ones like 925-25, which are only made for the Japanese market, though I always go back to the 925 07. On the Pentel side, I have Graphgear1000, Graph600, Graphgear500... but the one that feels right is a cheapo Pentel Sharp.

Amazon Prime did not fail, it showed up about an hour ago! I missed the start up on this one when they first came out. Looks like they have it going into full production now and is available thru Amazon Prime with 2 day delivery.
The Tutto 3 is a mechanical pencil that houses 3 different size leads, the .3mm, .5mm and .7mm. Used mainly for drawing you can cover the shade value from light to dark. Really neat. Will give a 30 day review later! Here it is ....

This Rotring Rapid Pro came in today...another 2mm but in silver color so now I can tell which one has the lighter 2H lead and the black has the darker 4B lead in it.

Not really got to write with this one much yet it is the Kuru Toga 0.7mm but I have had the 0.5mm version for over a year and haven't had any issues with it so I am sure that the 0.7mm will be as good or better for me :tu: I did swap the greenish yellow eraser cap and end nub from this one to the blue you see now from the 0.5mm one :cheers: and now it is much more pleasing to look at for me :D

Kuru Togas are amazing, but strangely enough I switched from the 0.7mm to the 0.5mm. Great pencils, my favorite!

Well I have given the Tutto 3 a good use and getting used to it. The different sizes and therefore the different shades of hardness or softness is at your wish. I find it better for writing and not as much for the drawing end of my use. The 2mm is what I have become used to for the drawing.
The 3mm is so thin that it is constantly breaking. I figured out that you have to expose less of the graphite as it is a lighter shade. To light really.
The 5mm is much better and comes in the standard pencil graphite.
The 7mm was the best for me and with the softer graphite made drawing a lot easier.
I am just to used to my 2mm’s which I have been using for the past 45 plus years.
