Does this count?
on: January 11, 2007, 02:40:09 AM
In the definition thread in the General Forum we are discussing the differences between SAKs, multis and other multi purpose tools, and just about everyone has their own idea of what constitutes a multitool.

So, I was wondering what folks thought of this monstrosity, the Victorinox Sport Ratchet.  What do you think?  SAK?  Multi?  Abomination?

That's definately some sort of monotreme.  One of those things laid eggs in my basement.

I have to say that I love it.  It is a hell of a conversation piece, and like most examples of the SportRatchet, mine is unused...

Great idea, poorly executed.

That's what I figured, but was hoping it was something more useful than simply a bit storage receptacle.

You're right, the Sport Ratchet doesn't seem like the most useful tool on the planet.........but I'm feeling the urge to get one.  :)

domsoutdoor.com still sells the Sports Ratchet and the AutoTool retail.  Ebay would be cheaper of course--an auction ended Jan 2 at $14.00.  But don't blame me if it lays eggs in your basement and you get an infestation.
