MTO Merit Badges
on: March 28, 2015, 01:41:27 PM
Introducing the all new Multitool.org Merit Badges!

Merit badges are neat little graphics that Whoey has come up with to help members declare their achievements in their signature line.  They work just like regular merit badges in that you "earn" them by meeting certain criteria.  Once the criteria is met you will request the badge and a Moderator will issue it to you.

There are currently four categories, and I will announce a new category each week.  This week we are starting with the Collector Badges pictured above.  We will add more badges to each category as we go to keep things interesting, and we may add more categories as well, as we need them.

I think they are pretty obvious, so there's no point in describing them in detail, but if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask!  And bear with us, this is new to all of us so there will probably be a few kinks to wok out.  :D

Good luck and happy badge hunting!

That is indeed an MTO branded tool, so yes, it counts.

You'll need a few extra lines for Chako  :P

I think it is currently set for 12 merit badges to display on posts and I believe the rest will show on your profile page.

Again, bear with me as this is still a bit new.  :D

The good lobster was kind enough to provide instructions on how to request a badge:

Profile / awards / show available awards / request award.

In case anyone is interested.  For now, until we get the methods sorted out let's post our proof in this thread.

This is an AWESOME idea.

I earned 67 merit badges in boyscouts until I earned eagle scout, Unfortunely these will probably be harder to obtain for awhile....
