Bad condition knives. Too good for the garbage - too bad to keep?

Sneider's pretty good at modding SAKs too so that's why I said RECYCLE. :D

I've played a bit with alox colors. Here are the latest:

And this in the colors of kingfisher

This little mod of me I use at work.
Now I was wondering if this model has a name?

This knife is've finished a few days ago. I have tested it, everything is ok.
I give the knife a very good friend who soon has his 38 birthday.
Was difficult to find a nice 77er Soldier blade.

It is my first mod with wood scales. This desert iron wood I find fantastic!
I do the things like different from the others, so I riveted the scales.  ::)

I have no clue what it's like to have a bucket filled with used rough condition pocket knives. I say choose a few  choice knives and see how good Victorinox's warranty is. That or barter, gift or, sell them.

I'm a non collector collector. It sounds weird but well...people here get it. Everything I've bought was with the intention of selling, not collecting for my not collection or to go into mods or as mod fodder. Always seemed to end up with more than I needed or intended to be honest.

I don't quite know what to do with a bucket of knives. Well besides barter, sell, gift, or test Victorinox's warranty that is.

Maybe fill a sock with a few and beat your enemies with them.

Jus' gonna point out the obvious here, some of these would be well appreciated by the community around here, some of us aren't as well endowed with MTs as this

Some consider that an abuse of the warranty if you already bought them broken. And if people keep doing it, manufacturers might stop offering such warranty to actual tool users.

Most plastic knife (Cellidor) I have already thrown away.
When the bucket was not so full, I had been offered a very big Lot of knifes cheap on ebuy.
20 Kg SAKs for CHF 200  incl shipping according to EU / USA / CAN but there was zero bids. So in the garbage ...

a handful of knives from the bucket in the worst condition:

(For me, this is not "well used" no, this is "raped")

^^^ Thank you. I figured as much. What strikes me (lousy pun intended) as curious is that this seems to have been done very precisely, which means that whoever did it probably knew he/she was messing with the springs and didn't care  :o

If you want to get rid of a lot of them. Let us know. There are many of us who would gladly buy them.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

The tools look awful on the first three but the scales look good. Redone in hard anodize with new brass liners and tools...  :D

  • Follow your dreams they would lead you to happines
I think many collectors know that:
It has the knife you actually do not want to have.
You can see a cheap Lot deal where an interesting knife here is, buy it and get 7 other knives ...
Or friends and family give each a scrap knife they still find it anywhere.

Many knives are somehow too good to throw away, but in to bad condition to be collected or sold.
And so we threw her into some corner, bucket or box.
Flow the years and there are more and more...

Looks like my waste-SAK bucket is full this year ..

(Image removed from quote.)

Come on, dig deep and show your waste knifes.  :pok:

So,the knives are gone.

I have several times offered these knives on the net.
At last over 400 SAKs for 200 CHF.
But there was no interest, zero bids! What should I do?

For me, this is garbage and I do not have time to mod all the knives.
The things themselves do not need and can not sell I throw away.

Less is more!
