SwissTool Nylon Pouch (Pic Requested)
on: July 26, 2008, 04:10:41 AM
Well, all my SwissTools have the Cordura pouches with the snap.. I like them, but I'd rather something nicer. So, I bought a leather and nylon sheath for my SwissTools. I used to have a leather one, but I lost it.. Could someone take a pic of their nylon sheath on their belt? BTW, I am talking about the ones with velcro.. Thanks!

BTW, I ordered them from SwissKnifeShop.. I just realized they are only about an hour drive from me too.. Good thing they have free shipping!!!  8)

Sorry, I only have the cordura sheath with snap fastener too.

Does the nylon sheath look much better? I don't know anything about sheaths, but I thought cordura was just a tougher type of nylon.

Do cordura and nylon look very different from each other, or is it more the style of the sheath that you prefer?

I sent the SwissTool that was inside my sheath off to Vic as you suggested, by the way... :)

I like the Cordura pouches.. But, I'd rather have the nicer ones. I remember Ben saying the leather sheath he has with his is the best one he has come across... BTW, I used to have the leather one and it's top notch! The main reason I bought these is because I hate the sounds snaps make!  :ahhh

I am curious too. It looks like it rides a little higher than the cordura, no?

A little bit.. Anyhow, I ordered the leather and nylon one. Oh, and considering Swiss Knife Shop is in NH and I'm in MA they shouldn't take too long to get here!

It's quite comfortable, the only issue i have with it, is that is a little difficult to get the tool out, since only a small part of the tool is exposed to take it. Other than that, it's a great sheath. The one in the right has almost two years of constant use, and haven't show any signs of wear. Highly recommended.
