Mora 2000
on: June 02, 2015, 11:41:39 PM
This should be in my mailbox early next week.  When it gets here I will take a group pic with my clipper and wooden handled scout.

Does anyone have a mora 2000 and want to share?

No but I'm interested in your experiences with it. It's on a want list! :tu:

It looks like a lot of thought was put into the design.  Combination of uses possible with the different grinds.  From woodcarving to processing game

Here it is next to the clipper and the scout.

the blade symettry on thre mora 2000 is interesting and probably versatile but I can see why the tip breaks sometimes in reviews and demos.  Very thin

I wondered how you would like the tip...it was a departure from their design norms I thought.

I have one of those. Its a very nice knife.
Its very popular amongst fishermen and farmers here.
I also like the way the sheath hangs in the belt wich keeps the knife out of the way when sitting. The stiff normal Mora sheats wont do that.

I like it too.  Im one to use a hatchet or axe if i need a lot of firewood.

This Mora 2000 will be used for food prep, game/fish processing along with the light woodcarving use.  I just have to be aware of the limitations of the tip of the knife

Yes, got one.
Nice and sharp out of the box (cuts tomatoes like dream), easy to sharpen, reasonably priced.
Not much use as a pry bar,  but works fine for light batoning :tu:

This Mora 2000 is a fun knife to use and carry.  I used it to prune roses and make woodchips for my smoker yesterday and it is still very sharp.

I like the sheath better than the clipper too
