Hmmm. I saw them in stock at Scheels earlier in the week. Can you do comparison pics with a SK/WM? The plier head looks pretty small in relation to the rest of the tool.
I still have no idea why Leatherman waste their time and money on the rev when they already have the Wingman/Sidekick. I love my Leathermans, but the companies decisions make me wonder WTF is going on around their. Sadly the Rev is one of the least disappointing tools they have released recently. The Tread being one of the most disappointing.

Here we go.
Some detail photosA couple things I noticed after opening up the package:1. The handles spread wider than Sidekick or Wingman. (not good)2. The handle on REV are different from SK/WM, they are two piece handles much like Sideclip's design. REV's pliers head and tools use the handle directly as retaining "spring", vs SK/WM has leaf spring to "click" tools in place. The retaining strength on REV is weak.3. Different pliers head design, better cutter, not spring loaded, I think they are same pliers as Leap.If you already own SK/WM, don't brother with this, a cheap version of the low end tool.

Have to say I am very disappointed with REV, much worst than I thought.I am ok with SK/WM, but rev is another step down from them, not just lacking one outside tool (Scissors or saw). The entire tool just feel filmy in hand, handles are too wide spreaded.
I got it for free, but still returned it for store credit.

I am surprise instead of issue me store credit they gave me cash refund. Now I have $28 in my pocket.
Leatherman, if you are reading this, WAKE UP, you are heading down Gerberland!
I noticed REV's MSRP is only $2.00 cheaper than Wingman, it is a no brainer.

Will the pliers transplant into a SK/WM?

The retaining strength on REV is weak.Does the split "body spring" act independently on the drivers unlike SK/WM?I don't like weak retaining strength particularly on a flat driver though with two handles (but not one handle ) the handles can be closed to prevent tool close-up.Disappointing to hear Rev is such a poor product. Unsprung by-pass cutters on SK/WM would have been better IMHO
