I don't know how many of you are interested in flashlights.  If you're looking for a really good general purpose light, I would strongly suggest a Streamlight ProPolymer.

Here's a link:  http://www.flashlightreviews.com/reviews/streamlight_propolyluxeon.htm

One of the best things about it is the price.  I paid around $32.

That review seems to have a lot of good things to say about the Streamlight, and nothing bad.

I think I've had mine about 6 months now.  I can't say anything bad about it either.  It's an excellent light.

That looks kind of cool- and the right price too... maybe I'll have to check one of those out...

+1 on the Streamlight PP Lux.  I have one, and it's a GREAT light--the best "thrower" of any LED light I own, and great runtime at about 4 hours.  It doesn't have the widest spill for walking, but that's due to the deep reflector that is tuned for long throw.  They're also very water resistant.  The C-cell version is very nice also.

Fox International sells them for $24 plus shipping.

I have one along with about 30+ other lights. This one is a great light. It gets used a lot due to its good throw/ spill combo and looong runtime. It is a workhorse because it can get thrown around. Usually does duty checking on noises outside at night. This usually turns out to be a cat or the wind but it sure makes the neihbors know you are looking out for anything.

For flashlights under $50. I would rate this one a best buy.
