It makes sense since it's really hard to find a can without a pull ring nowadays but recessed philips are very common.
I just took a Dremel cutting wheel and file to the bottle opener on a Harvester so that it can be used for regular phillips screws. Not exactly the same thing as turning the can opener in to a technicians screwdriver but a very similar exercise. Very happy with the results and feel like it will make a very good summertime/shorts carry along with a Squirt. This is only the 3rd or 4th time I've used a Dremel and it was a piece of cake.

Good job. Were you able to shine the part where you ground the metal off or is it rusty there now?
