Today going strong with Explorer(Image removed from quote.)

Only Tools Matters

An explorer is missing from my collection but I've been considering one.

Went with a slightly modified MP600 today.

I'm on a cruise ship for next five days so all my usual wallet friendly tools. My Skipper, Super Tinker and Spirit are all back home on hiatus.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I might be crazy but it's kept me from going insane- Waylon Jennings

Thanks Antti and great carries.!

Today I reshaped the scissors of my Gerber Armbar Slim Cut. They are otherwise good scissors but the blades stay too flat and are too long for the handle size so I shortened, thinned and pointed them a bit.

I also made the useless bottle opener protrusion at the opposite end of the knife into a smallish flat screwdriver.

Thanks! Yeah, it already feels way more useful with these small mods.

The next project I'm carrying around is this rusty Gerber Flick I recently aquired for 15+shipping. Hipping to get out back into smooth operating condition as I personally think these are very underrated.

I made good progress. The rust left some tiny divots in the metal but they add a bit of character and overall the tool cleaned up nicely. I'll still need to take it all apart one of these days.

Thanks! I used the Flik to help make some planter boxes yesterday and it did well (driving some cross head screws, holding and loosening small nuts, bending thin metal and cutting some semi thick wire mostly). I haven't taken it apart yet but I'm already thinking it might make a good platform for some mods.

Trooper came along on a quite cool morning to weedwack.  A lot of weeds to cut.  I felt rejuvenated and full of strength.
That was before I started.  Now I feel wrung out, sweaty, and beat.  Worn out Echo.  Worn out Trooper.  Worn out IMR.  No poison ivy where I was cutting today.  Yesterday there was.  Best wishes.  G
