Just got this baby. Suunto Core

Cool! Let us know how you like it!  I considered one!

Got a new Nato band for my W10. I liked the other one but it was a bit short for me...this IW SUISSE Nato band is a full 12" long and is 19mm to it fits the CWC perfectly.

I got a green one but I may get some other colors later!

Good choice, although to split hairs the strap is called the G10 not NATO, Also to qualify (at least for the Brits) it has to welded not stitched

:2tu: You're exactly right Smashie, ( ) it was listed as a G10, is welded and stitched and since it was 19mm, it's not issue spec. I was mainly looking for a superior quality band that did have the 12" MoD spec length.  :salute:  It's a great band!

Picked up this Caravelle at an antique shop about a week ago. This looker was made by Bulova in 1969, and it only cost me $13.

My tried, tested and much-loved Citizen eco-drive that I picked up used from another MTO member is starting to show a few signs of age after me wearing it every day for the last 3 years so I started looking at a successor and picked up one of these...

It's the Sieko 'Alpinist' and it ticked just about all my boxes, plus I liked the back story to these watches and it's just something a bit different.

Since Christmas, I've been wearing a timex weekender that my 3 year old picked out for me.  I haven't really been into watches since shes been born, but wear one everyday.  yet, somehow she knew I liked them and told mommy that dady wants a brown watch for Christmas.  Not sure how she came up with the idea, but she knew what she wanted and they went to a department store and she picked this.  Even though its a bit bigger than I normally wear, I have to admit I quite like it.  Plus, it has a lot of meaning to it now as well.

I guess I'm not exactly a watch guy, but recently acquired a second one. You see, my first watch ever was a Casio F-91W. My sister found it on a playground when I was around 10-11y old. I wore it for 6 years and then lost it. Well, technically someone stole it, but that is not important. During that time it was used and abused and held up very well. The battery didn't need replacement and it wasn't new when it came to me. The wrist strap didn't break. The "crystal" didn't suffer any significant scratches. It was rated as water resistant and to me then it meant it was absolutely waterproof. So I wore it swimming in the sea and swimming pools, including hot mineral water ones without issues. At that time it was just a watch to me. I had no concept of value for it. Recently I found out it can be had for less than $10 and immediately thought of several reasons why I should order one ASAP.
  • Most importantly - nostalgia
  • It is not expensive by most standards
  • My current diver Casio MDV-106 is by no means a bulky watch, but when I ride a bike it bounces uncomfortably on my wrist and is not very comfortable under motorcycle gloves. So at times I chose to leave it at home, despite liking it very much. The feather light and slim F-91W should work in these situations well

And in fact it does. I also wear it around the house. Most of the time I can't even feel its 20g of weight. Here it is:

I was given a Visetti as a present. It is a Greek fashion brand, not really my thing, but it was a present. The stopwatch hands alignment is not brilliant, but it looks nice.

That's very true, unfortunately. To me this is the only negative of the watch besides lacking a countdown timer. I probably wouldn't want to take it flying, especially if I ever go to the US again. Don't want to raise any red flags.

Pull out the crown, press the timer "start" button about 58 times (just till it's dead center) and push the crown back in.

You're welcome!

I sent it to be fixed, as I could not find the movement model and did not want to guess. It has alignment issues with the minute and the seconds hands of the stopwatch.

Thank you for the reply. Do you know what movement they use? The manual did not have my model. I assume it must be a miyota.
