This two, the white one, I was hunting one for a very long time... It's a jdm product, very hard to get it outside of Japan!
It's a dw-9700NC
And a Gwn-1000RD

I've had Seikos and Eco-drives and the two watches you will find me wearing are Casio F-91w variants.

Remember, some time ago, when I posted about getting a brand new Seiko 5? Very nice watch, got it for €110.

Lately, it began to get 15min fast every day. Yup, you read it right.

Took it to the shop where I bought, today they told me it would cost me €90 to get it fixed.
 :sa: :poh:

So, now, besides Timex, I have another brand I'll never buy/use again.

So long, Seiko!

Man, that's a bummer! I've got an Invicta 8932OB that has an automatic Seiko movement (NH35A is the movt model) that I bought at least 5 years ago. It keeps KILLER time, and always has. I think I gave like $85 USD for it, including shipping. First I've heard of a Seiko crapping out that quick.

Wow, that is impressively bad!   :ahhh

I have beaten the crap out of my Orange Monster for years with no issues, and I have heard that the 5's were also rock solid.  I know Micah has one, and as far as I know, it hasn't given him any problems.

Have you contacted Seiko?

I took the watch to the store where I bought it. They have someone who repairs watches, the estimate came from him.

I'll try another store. In this one, they can send the watch to Seiko. It will cost me €10 that I get back (discount on the repair cost) if I accept the repair. They also have someone that does repairs, it costs nothing to have him have a look at the watch.

Let's wait and see...

I recently bought a SKX009K2 which I am extremely happy with. It keeps great time by my standards, -4-5/s/d but that's always in the back of my mind as well... What/when it should ever require service/repair. TBH, I would probably just retire the watch to a sock drawer. Also to consider - I am rough on a watch - always accidentally knocking it against something to the point that this consciousness sometimes hinders my enjoyment of the watch.

It is for that reason that after a month of ownership, I am back to a G shock... and my Seiko resides in a watch-winder.

I have seen this one around a couple of times on here and I really liked it so I picked one up and made the Nato strap for it. I not super happy with how it turned out since I was mistakenly thinking the strap was 20mm when it's 22mm.

I've been waiting for this for a few months now and it finally arrived this morning.

Stowa Flieger Klassik 36 Handwound no logo.

This was one of a run of watches to celebrate their 90th anniversary. So they made 90 of this model and 90 automatics. However due to a smurf up on their part some of the watches of this design came with date. So there are more like 45 like mine.

Anyhoo, some rubbish pictures
