Previous owner said he had worn the watch only a few times, but as you can see the strap is already a bit dirty (brown stains). The clasp thing is a bit fiddly, not easy to put on. Strap looks cool though :)

You remembered :tu:
This one is really a lot lighter and thus more comfortable. But the steel one is still very nice to wear.

Alright, I picked this up today.  What is it?  It seems to be a television station gave it to someone.  Its pre 2004 so no model number and the serial number is leading me nowhere.  I like it other than the strap that was is a replacement.  Might be time to go nato?  The crystal is "glass" not mineral.  There are scratches but doesn't affect much.

I've gotten two watches somewhat recently. In October, I started my first permanent job in my field after being a seasonal worker for five years :woohoo:, so I celebrated by getting myself a new G-Shock. Went with the GWM5610. Figured I was done with watches for a little while but I was just given a casio CA-53W. It isn't as tough as the G, but I love that I don't feel it on my wrist. Both are excellent additions to the collection.

Thank you.  I like the simple dial a lot.  I like simple dials in general so this ticked a lot of boxes.  Added new battery and it fired right up.  This is my second Vic watch.  My other still needs some work yet.

Totally, numbers on every mark rather then dots, no extras, just simple!

A friend of mine works at a recycling centre.

He fished a Pulsar from a container for me.
Automatic movement, power reserve indicator (Seiko movt).

Probably trashed because the bracelet broke, since it started working after some shakes.

So I cleaned it up and put a classy strap on it.

In this case, the real crime is throwing away such a watch because of a broken strap  :pok:.

@ CMUtuba: Some real classic Casio's you have there my friend  :tu:.

Seeing that calculator Casio reminded me that I have one of those tucked away somewhere as well, be it a "more recent" version, from back in the days when we had to know phonenumbers from our friends, and being able to put them in your watch was real cool ...

I know the strap on mine was broken, but I should try to dig up the watch one of these days ...

Switched the strap one last time to match the original better (it had some Fix-O-Flex parts attached when I got it, not original either)
