Did you throw it away because the broken strap?

 :twak:

No, I got a G-shock (which I still wear every day at work) and the calculator Casio went into a drawer.

And when I wanted to wear it again and dug it up out of the drawer the strap felt real fragile and when I put it on it broke in 6 pieces or so ...

Thanks! They're both pretty great. You should definitely dig up the calculator watch. Bands are cheap!

@ CMUtuba: Some real classic Casio's you have there my friend  :tu:.

Seeing that calculator Casio reminded me that I have one of those tucked away somewhere as well, be it a "more recent" version, from back in the days when we had to know phonenumbers from our friends, and being able to put them in your watch was real cool ...

I know the strap on mine was broken, but I should try to dig up the watch one of these days ...

In this case, the real crime is throwing away such a watch because of a broken strap  :pok:.

Great find Nick  :tu:.

Just saw your post Aloha007, beautiful classic Victorinox watch mate .

Okay, it has some battle scars, but those only add more character to it  :tu:.

Thank you.  Wore it today and its sure is comfortable.  Still want to get a new strap for it tho.  I'll wear this one out for the time being.

A friend of mine works at a recycling centre.

He fished a Pulsar from a container for me.
Automatic movement, power reserve indicator (Seiko movt).

Probably trashed because the bracelet broke, since it started working after some shakes.

So I cleaned it up and put a classy strap on it.

(Image removed from quote.)
I like it .
I think the strap really suits it. :salute:
Switched the strap one last time to match the original better (it had some Fix-O-Flex parts attached when I got it, not original either)

(Image removed from quote.)
That one too  :like:

Ouch,
I hate how one can be to loose, yet then one more too tight, it’s like a t-shirt, an xl too loose yet a large to tight..

Looks great, Clown! :like:

Seems the new ones still have the arm-hair pullers. :ahhh

The unused one in the collection still has the SS arm-hair puller on it, but the beater has either a yellow rubber strap or black nylon strap(rotating them out periodically).

Perhaps they have fixed the bracelets, but the one on yours looks exactly like the ones that mine came with. :ahhh

Yeah its definitely not the best bracelet but luckilly my arms have never had much hair.  I'd like to keep it on a bracelet though and will look into a more comfortable replacement at some point.

The bracelet is much better than it looks. Try it on for a few days first.

Right these aren’t new to me, but are recently rediscovered. Elgin watch co. Full hunter in a rolled gold case and the other one (need to look up the makers mark) in a 9ct case. Both from family members on my late fathers side

My latest (which I've had for a while now) is a first gen Apple watch.  I didn't think I'd really like having a smarsmurfch, but since I can't use my phone in most areas at work, having the watch comes in handy.

Thanks for the recommendation, Smashie! I had picked a brown textured leather strap out this morning and wore it today. It never quite looked good to me.

Then I read your comment and it got me thinking. I don't have a band with white stitching, which would be awesome, but I found something pretty close.

Love it with the tan strap. Thanks for the idea, Smashie!
