Got this Wave Ceptor Casio today. I just liked its aesthetics, and of course it never hurts if you can trust your time piece 100 percent of the time, no matter what.

That's the charm of it! :) (And of course although it looks angular, boxy, actually it's pretty comfortable.)

I had one of these years ago when I used to dive. It went missing so I got another.

I've been looking at one of those for over a week now, thinking about getting myself one... But funds are low and the wishlist is long  ::).

Congrats on the beautiful Seiko mate .

Edit: The bezel being one click too far to the left in the pic does make my OCD itch...  :ahhh

I just ordered a Seiko SRP777J1, as it reminds me of the iconic 6309. I'll post a pic when I get it in the mail

Got this one at the flea market last week for $10. Needed a battery and the plastic band was history. Put on a temporary band while I look for a proper one.Talked with a friend of mine who has experience with Invicta and he says the bands are notorious for breaking.First band I have ever seen that has double pins on both sides.
Guy I got it from had a Lucien Piccard chronograph that I might pick up tomorrow if it is still there.

Not a watch, but a watch winder. Useful for the Seiko 7S26 which can’t be wound manually.

I think I have a Seiko, an Orient, a Victorinox and 9 knives. Too bad I can't find anyone to swap one of those for them...

Luch One Hand watch. I've come to love the one-hand watch. Plan on getting a Botta with the 24-hour one-hand some day.

So... about 5h20m there?...

Yep -- the smallest marks are 5 minutes, bigger ones on the 15, so you kind of know around +/- 2 or 3 minutes accuracy. But most of the time, that's all I need to know -- roughly what time it is.

The flipside is that it's more like looking at a time gauge more like how you'd look at a progress bar or fuel gauge in a car. It's like a visual as to where you are in the day rather than giving you an exact number.

I get the practicality of that but I don't think it'll work for me.

I have a G-Shock with radio control. I use it to adjust my analogic watches to the second...

Oh I understand -- I'm about the same way with my Casios (F-91, A158, GA2110).  But it's different when the watch gives you an exact time and it's incorrect -- vs giving you a rough time.

For days where the exact minute doesn't matter, the one-hand is just a nice, different experience. I also wanted at least one mechanical watch, and love the Cyrillic watchface.

The Botta 24-hour is even more interesting to me as the watch hand is like a gauge for where you are in the day, or where you are in the sun cycle. But they're like CAD$700.  :o
