Totally an idea, but this is quite a rare model, I rather prefer to pass it to someone who will enjoy wearing it!

I understand that - If I´m unsure I do ask around if I have a collectors item before I tear into a watch or tool for a mod.
I believe I can mod my stuff anyway I see fit, but no use in turning a collectors piece into a piece only I enjoy unless parts are not available elsewhere.

You could get a set of spare (black) resin and wear the watch - should you decide to sell it down teh road you can put teh original resin back on.

How do you like the Riseman in general (apart from the colour)?

No - I somehow never felt attracted to the riseman (of that generation). I do like the older one for it´s quirky design, though.
Apart from that I try to DOWNSIZE the watch collection - Yesterday, for example, by bidding (and winning...) on a momentum Pathfinder Quartz analog.

I have been wearing, a lot, the 5600CL - I know that it is hard to read and even the light makes little difference, but i enjoy the look and the weight

This gulfman I thought it will be bigger, but a really comfortable watch,  good looking, in the wish list I still have is brother the gw-9100, this one is already for sale, the blue earth bla bla, I'm gonna pass it, and for the time I put it on eBay, it was the only one worldwide with this configuration! The riseman is everything I thought, good looking perfect size, weight, you barely feel it in the wrist, I totally do not regret all the persistence in get in one, totally advise the g collector to get one!

And dks, the traditional look and feel of a square in the wrist, it's awesome, and you should get a screw back one, that's something, it's another level, another feel, try one :)

I would love a screwback one, but they tend to be expensive, if they are in good condition, and I do not know whether I can wear it, in case It gets damaged and i can not find any parts....  Lowtech had one. Maybe we can do something about it  :D

I think i will PM him

I think he has dw-5600, grab it:)  you won't regret :) and you have several screw backs recent models, and it is really easy to find parts for those ones, and inexpensive!

If we should find a deal and you want to try a "treaditional" strap, I can include an only slightly used strap for the DW-5600(e, CL,...) The classic one has 18 mm lug width while the modern ones have 16 mm.

Croton CA301048SSRD
I can now go for walks in the rain  :D

This was the cheapest decent pepsi style 300m rated diving watch. The company has a good reputation. They use the invicta system of over-inflated suggested retail price  :D

rotating bezel, with the proper part coloured red

Japanese movement, quartz.

the overall wrapping and clasp remind me of my Weide....

hefty watch - bigger than the GA100, 206g

quite good - does not look cheaply made

worth the money, just for the look

$57.95 + $15.95  for shipping.  I assume that shipping will be a few dollars for you.

I posted a link to the auction in my 1st post about it.

Nobody really bids on these, so the prices are low.

You can also buy it, without bidding, for $2 more.

It is a big, heavy, watch.

There is also a 200m version, with slightly different "pepsi" bezel (wrong...) which is about $40 and should be smaller and lighter

The one I got has a pedometer too  :D

I got it when they were having a sale so it was about $28

The one you ordered has the more "rugged" look

They do have some cool functions.

Im not a fan of silvered plastic. If you want it to look like metal, use metal. Not painted plastic.

If I understand it correctly, I think it meant's to enable the stap to be tightened while remaining comfortable.

I could be wrong though. It happened to me once, in 12643 BC.  ;)
