Just For Bragging Rights, Do You Know The Answer?

No clues or hints etc. Not yet anyway.
You either know it, have mad goggle-fu skills, or don't.

Name the tool.  :pok:

Is it a Port-A-Wrap, used for lowering heavy branches or logs?
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Does it slip down over something with prongs pointed down?

I was also thinking of something for opening bottles...

Looks like something older/ish... so perhaps nowadays there's a newer version of that if it exists at all anymore...(do I sound ridiculous to you :D)

Some kind of funky bayonet, viewed from the rear.

What if it's some sort of a grinder...

You put the "wings" that are on each side on some sort of a dish (they seem to be longer), but that dish must have a rectangular shape or something...

Then you place the product you want to grind in that tube (we see its rear part like () in the pic)... then you slide that thing on top left/right ... and it grinds the product that's contained in the tube... and it can directly go into the dish from that tube maybe if it has a whole.... lol.

Sci-fi :D

I wasn't considering the wood.  If it's mounted on the stump, I would think it's a kind of fence holder, perhaps for stringing barbed wire?

No. No. Can't you tell? It's an early rough mockup of the NCC 1701, but they obviously significantly changed the size of the engineering hull
